Biography

Heather Horst was born and raised in Omaha and attended Omaha North High School. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2007. After completing her undergraduate studies, she attended law school at Duke University and received her juris doctorate in 2010. While in law school, Heather interned at Legal aid of Nebraska, Legal Aid of North Carolina, and the Duke Legal Project, working mostly with family law matters. After graduating from law school, Heather practiced personal injury law in Wisconsin for a year before moving back to Omaha.

Heather joined Walz Law Offices in 2012 and handles Plaintiff’s personal injury, family law and Landlord/Tenant matters. She believes that all of her clients’ legal challenges should be met with compassion and understanding of each client’s individual needs and concerns. Her goal with any case is to navigate the client through the legal system and ensure that they feel comfortable and informed throughout the process. 

Aside from practicing law, Heather enjoys playing violin, gardening, and spending time with her daughter, partner and her three cats.
